Matthew Keegan-Phipps

Matthew is a composer, performer and music teacher with fifteen years of experience working in the music industry and as a professional educator in the UK state education sector. In January 2017 he and his family made the decision to move to Spain and explore all the opportunities that life in the EU might bring.

Matthew is a clarinetist, saxophonist, recorder player, choral and solo singer with a vast range of teaching in classroom settings and also workshop leading experience; his main specialism in teaching traditional music through oral traditional methods. He has performed at many of the UK's biggest folk festivals as a member of Ceilidhography, with Morris Offspring or Shooting Roots, or more recently as a workshop leader as part of Sidmouth Festival's Children's Festival.

This site is an online portfolio of compositions, an archive of performances and recordings and an opportunity to explore what might come next in this musical journey. If you'd like to be involved, please don't hesitate to contact him through the contact page.
